Un-Conventional Women: Pussy Riot aims to bring awareness to the most current issues arising in feminism around the world, focusing specifically on the recent events in Russia with the Pussy Riot trials. The evening will begin with 3 actresses reading the 3 testimonies from the Pussy Riot trials. This will follow onto a panel, which will explore political protest, feminism and especially feminism in music, from girl power to Riot Grrl, with live music and spoken word performances to round off the evening.
The event will be part of the Labour Women's conference on 29th September, acting as a fund-raising and awareness event for the Pussy Riot trial fund.
