Manchester’s very own musical prodigy has proved himself to be unstoppable over the last year. His unmatched writing ability, topic choice, videos and production have built him a strong foundation for something very special. In the build up to the release of his self produced album ‘Poor With £100 Trainers’ Skittles was not only played but also play listed on radio stations ranging from Radio1, XFM, Kiss FM and Rinse FM to name but a few. With DJ’s including Sir David Rodigan, Mista Jam, Mary Anne Hobbs, Charlie Sloth, Toddla T and dBridge supporting his work.

Skittles collaborated with austrian lords Camo and Krooked on their album ‘Cross The Line’ (Hospital Records), which was released in October 2011. The 140 hip hop come experimental tear out obliterator ‘The Lesson’ had more than half a million hits on Youtube in a matter of weeks and went on to be featured on EA Sport’s new release Fifa Street ’12 available on Xbox, Playstation etc.

He’s also been in the studio with ‘wonder boy’ producer of the moment Dub Phizix and gave birth to the aptly named ‘I’m I’m I’m I’m …. I’m a creator’, due out for release on Exit Records soon.

Having toured around Europe from a young age as a Dubstep / Grime MC, his honest performance style and trademark hyperactivity elevated him above ‘the rest’. His album features an extensive list of live instruments, which inspired him to form his live band ‘Skittles ‘n’ that’. The band have been blowing away crowds leaving them ‘gobsmacked, knackered and enlightened’.

Aside from his music, Skittles is heavily involved with manchester’s Estate Recordings. The label has put on free parties for his singles and album and also a one day pop up shop in Manchester city centre, where customers could purchase the CD ahead of release, whilst watching Skittles perform and sipping on a free drink.

Skittles keen interest in fashion has also attracted sponsorship from the likes of L.R.G, Money Clothing, Second Son, WESC, Dream Factory and many more. With bookings across Europe and some weighty collaborations in the pipeline, Skittles is definitely one to be adding to your iTunes Library.
